If you could choose an old SS board with the stamp of SBD letters inside the shield or one with simply the SBD letters, which do you feel were better boards?

I know you are not asking which board has the better stamp??? Board goodness all depends on the best critical dimensions. And overall weight.

No Jerry, not deciding on stamp but I guess kind of. LOL
There are many people that feel certain boards are better overall by years than others. Many I've talked to feel that the shield boards overall, were very good and a bit better than the SBD boards and both much better , overall, than what has come out the last few years.

I was just seeing what people's thoughts were here.

i was told that the best boards were the particle board ones with the laminate on the bottom
the new one I bought last spring cracked and I had to send it back to be replaced

I personally would like a older board that could be sealed all 6 sides with tounge oil

the new prefinnished boards leave alot unsealed to expand and warp all open
endgrain which soaks up moisture like a sponge only thing i can put on it is wax wihich does not seal it
