Volunteering for the right reasons in STEAD of per

First things I need to mention- I don't have a problem with you but if you wish!?.
Jerry, I'm exposing this info to save our local, not to bring shame. I hope the Director and the good intentioned member's know this.
This is not about you- it's about getting things right and fair, so don't be offended.

Now down to business, apparently you have not read my opinions very well.
I have told at least 3 Different officials that I would do the work on these older ramps- THAT HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME SHAPE FOR YEARS- bent or not bent.- How about getting your information right.

Jerry you’re an engineer right- When you saw the ramps, did you immediately say, the configured borrowed ramps solved nothing.
We'll even a non- educated man can observe this.
So you want the blame, then you got it, that was a stupid move- how about making changes slowly when you have the help. 35 year experience has proven that things need to be done certain ways. Change slowly.
They should have had me perform the work period. I would of made them very adjustable to the point nose/tail weight would not matter as much.
So go ahead and don't take me up on this one but blame me.

So your telling me, you're the one that agreed to this also- well again that's just plain stupid. Their are a variety of different years axle's, the group owns.
Your information is wrong, the group purchased aprox. 20 ,I believe, 2 or 3 year old cars and has upgraded through the years. It's not that un-balanced. Why don't you post how many corp cars we have , over 60 right.
For the past three years, that was primary my main focus, to help on weight and alignment nights- and it was my idea of presetting each divisions axles to help save time. It only took two people to align a car quickly, w/o a lot of man-power. Some member's in the group use to tell racer's, there's a 40 year jig- go have fun.
This is where Derby officials would be all bent, because I would spend extra time helping the once a year kids. I'm surprised w/o I, Some officials even cared about axle being aligned on the corp. cars. In the past years the officials didn't care as I expressed this many times. I had the jig pulled right out of a innocent family's car, because it was 15 min. after quitting time.

Floor Board Jerry- Can you tell me about this-I guess you forgot.
Shell Jerry, please post this also. What years are these .
Do you even know what to look for.
So what do I think of that- B.S. I'm not buying it. Your naive to the truth.

Little girl and family in question- I agree w/ you on this. This little girl is a great person, Momma- I could care less about.
But what is right is right, let them go to Akron- I'm in favor of this. Penalize the one that put this family in jeopardy.

The winning Corp. car again- Read , Read and Read again
This was a blessing and I loved hearing about this car winning.

Jerry you absolutely wrong, the ramps were adjusted on Saturday and would show on the heat sheet's
I've heard this from 5 plus family's already, I don't know how else to call it-self serving- your not going to change my thought 's on this.

POST THE HEAT SHEETS- Let's see if my information is correct

Help your asking for- well this is where the new organization should of spent time. Most Amateur Organized sports have mandatory volunteer sign in. I've brought up charging 100 dollars per family.At every event you help, you get 25 dollars back. If you don't volunteer you loose your money. If someone doesn't show up ,you pay someone 25 dollars to fill in. That's pretty much the norm. It's like paying the local football team to pick the car's up on race day. Problem solved and you have the man power. This is not new, this is just the new generation of
people. Almost every non-profit organization does this , some way or another. Even Akron pays people for help to some degree.
Another thing Jerry, Some of your fellow member's don't welcome new people.
You start helping and then your told your not helping enough. Their should be only two kinds of people racing at our race. One's that don't have the time( then they pay) and those that volunteer, that's it. Volunteering for 4 events is fair per family.
If you asked for help you may have got it from me and by the way I have told the director I'd help him personally in anyway this year.But blame me again.

Your creditability went out the window - stop listening to people and judge for your self.
Look at the heat sheet's it may help out both of us.

A friend of mine once told me that not everything is fair. I was up set and his words of wisdom just added fuel to my anger at that time. After a few years these words now make some sense to me. The race is over and it is too late to change that which has already been done. Hopefully if Herb and Jerry continue to talk they will begin to understand each others point of view. I do not think they will ever agree. If the old ramps need to be fixed and if Herb has offered to repair them why not let him fix them now? Why wait until you need them before you fix them.

Hey JuniorChamp. Remember what we are dealing with here. We are dealing with biased ppl. That girl's car maybe legal, but having blind eyes turned upon it.

I can't get anything done- the phone is ringing off the hook. Let me tell you- none of the phone call's are about me, almost every call is about this self serving individual and they want actions taking or they are done helping. Some of these people don't even like me and are talking about the unfairness.

What else can this guy do to win- Quote " we should not even run a master race, we should just give the trophy", to this self server.

So Jerry, do you want to explain the spindle washer's problem.
Come on ,come clean- It was voted (self server involved) on and told to only run one washer per spindle. This self server got caught again- The winning master car was running two washer's per spindle all day!!!!. At that time a DQ was in check, but not done. Cheater, self serving again.
This is the topping on the cake- he was also part of the group that assigned the older fast wheel to the master car's
These faster wheel are the one's with the bearings recessed. So family's had to make a choice. Run the washer on the inside so the wheel won't hit the foil or run the washer on the outside so the wheel clip's don't hit the wheels. Real fair!!!!!
One washer on older wheel's, ignorance right Jerry ,do you want to take the fall for this self server again.
New's flash- This self server,was running two washer's for an advantage.
Come on Guy's, This many thing's wrong in one race - You need to investigate and do what is right.

Another piece of info- This self serving individual preach to all (at meetings and to other racer's), this race would be set up to FAVOR a BALANCE car
Family's on race day saw the ramps and then saw the outcome of one car going down balance and one going down tail heavy
The tail heavy car won by I believe an 0.020. The smarter family's started protesting- how can anyone say run balance is faster.
The ramps were one piece, one angle rails 4 inches off the ground. It's doesn't matter if the ramps are 4 inches off the ground or 3 feet off the ground it's still a tail weight ramp. This self server should of told the group about the ramp situation before race day- The officials need to look at the tail weight log book and see what these car's started the day with. Post this stuff Guy's , let's get our local back to being fair.

That's just way wrong and this individual is way to smart to not know better.
How can all of these thing be overlooked. Investigate and penalize.

I have to apologies to one family- I'm truly sorry. You guy's spent your time rallying, you did your homework and persistence paid off. I'm so proud of your personal family's achievements this race season. I actually got real happy
when I saw you guy's qualify as a SS Rally Champ and to top it off, your local Win- clean and deserving.
Congratulations and I hope you guy's kick some Butt at Akron. May the derby gods give you all the winning ingredients.

I know you guy's are not affiliated with other sibling's bad decisions and in no way are you apart of this discussion of opinion's.

Panzittag, weren't 3 of 4 of the cars sent to Akron last year VIP'S ? To my knowledge the only car that had a problem was last years SS car.

I can't wait for the rally this year! I love new challenges. Bringit on.

No need to , we went "pay to play" this year if you didn't catch my post, say five months ago. The meeting will be another "f" this and "f" that, from the chair no less. Kids will be removed from the room, adults will act like the childern they displaced. More rule things will be voted on that ultimatly will get broken at some point during race day. More people will be demanded by the board to aploigize in public.
Good kids will be voted out.....this time.....

My recent posts/venting span the acumulation of 6years and countless miles and hours of help to our local.

One thing on VIP's from LBSBD ........... EVERY YEAR WE HAVE BEEN IN THE DERBY! ...AFTER TRE FAMILYS DROPED THE CARS OFF AT Don's...THE CHAMPS CARS WERE GONE OVER BEFORE THEY WENT TO TO ACRON! So,THEY SHOULD BE VIP's....Fool

and yes, i've brought up , time, after time, after time, that the cars should be impounded at the race, and after five years it was. Last years impoundment could have gone a little smoother, if it was handled right up front , before the day started.

Any honest family that thinks they have a fair shot in LB needs to have there head examined.

Without explaination Herb, have we ever been cheated? yes or no , DEAL or No DEAL.
