Plans are in the works for the hosting of a OPEN SUPER STOCK SHOOTOUT in September of this year.

Although details are still being worked out, here are a few tidbits to consider.

* This event is open to all Super Stock racers, regardless of affiliation.
* Any SUPER STOCK car may be entered, AA/NDR current or older floorboard style. " New steering adjusters must be used on all cars.
* Race will be part of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Championship at Kawartha Speedway in Peterborough Ontario.
* Event held on the GRAVITY CAVITY ... Canada's only purpose built derby track.
* Awards will be paid down to 8th place ... based on a minimal entry field of 24 cars.
* $500.00 Bond for first place guaranteed
* entry cut off will be 48 cars.
* 4-12 car elimiantion divisions -winners and runners up move to the "Final 8 Round" on day two.
* ENTRY FEE $50.00 per car.
* Two day event

SUPER STOCK SHOOT-OUT , entry packages are now avialble, as interest has been strong, with numerous inquiries about the event and the GRAVITY CAVITY. Super Stock race families are encouraged to send in their request for RACE ENTRY PACKAGES.

Teams wishing to enter the event should email their requests to daynes1@cogeco.ca. Packages will be sent on a first come first serve basis, as will official entries for the event.

The SUPER STOCK SHOOTOUT will take place at Kawartha Speedway and Casino minutes outside of Peterborough Ontario on the Gravity Cavity-Canada's only purpose built derby race track.

Entry cut-off is 48 cars ... we already have teams entered in the event..
so don't delay if you want a shot at the $500.00 guaranteed first place prize.

THE SUPER STOCK SHOOTOUT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO A LACK OF RESPONCE.

An Open race will be held in its place on September 27th as part of the 2008 NASCAR CANADIAN TIRE SERIES FINALE.

The event will feature racing in all CSBRA recognized classes....
