pretty cool forum I hope to get some helpful advise. I ran the stock class in my local and finished in the top four but never won but my car was fast when we ran it as tight as we could get it around 200 inch pounds front and rear. now for two years I switch to super stock and have been trying to run super tight with this car and I can't get in the top eight. I know that we have no cross bind but unsure about in the ramps we race down a slightly rough street but pretty fast hill about 22 mph. should we run rear tight and loosen front or loosen both ends or try to tighten more on the kingpins my buddy won stock and his car was real real tight but he told me that alot of times the super stock cars must be looser in the front than the stock cars he told me run super tight in the rear and super loose in the front. is there any truth to this I have had people tell me either super tight or super loose not in between. we run off 6" wide channel ramps twenty four inches high in the rear I run full tail weight 15lbs I'm looking for any advise so I can get this car better. thanks Donald

I always ran my superstock car tight in the back and loose in the front.

Back kingpin was never tighter than 180inch lbs and never looser than 125inch lbs
front kingpin was never tighter than 125inch lbs and never looser than 80inch lbs

But every car is different, you just need to find your own number and work with it. Do you rally alot? Try different settings on your superstock car at rallies. Max tailweight seems about right for your ramps. Watch the other drivers that always seem to do well at your local track and see how they run the track. Every little thing helps in this sport.

Best of luck to you in your local this year
