Wanted to Congratulate the people in Western Nebraska for thier hard work in developing a new Dedicated Soap Box Derby Track in Ogallala Nebraska. Dave Barrett along with several others have made this a reality. I've been told by several people that this track is truely first class and national caliber facility. The cars will approach 30 MPH so it has some speed. I have seen pictures and from what I can see - IT IS VERY NICE! Those that I have talked to that have seen it say the same thing. GREAT TRACK.

I should have pointed out that this area was very well represented at last years NDR national Championship race in Sioux City. Cars from the North Platte and Ogallala area participated.

It was Joe Hinman of North Platte that started Soap Box Derby racing in the entire area and still is involved in racing today.

Again congrats to the entire racing community out in Western Nebraska!
