Derek,
I don't know what Tomasello is talking about. If he wants to take credit for telling me that Winchester, VA had magnets on their ramps, OK but thats about as far as his involvement with magnets on the Central MD/ Washington DC ramps goes. The first ramps with magnets I ever saw were the ones that New Castle, PA had at the Beaver Run Rally back in 2002, and the ones that Winchester has. Both of those ramps had magnets that were so tall you had to lift the ramp channels high enough so the brake pads wouldn't hit the magnet. making those ramps easy to gain a tail weight advantage.
I researched the multitude of available magnets to obtain the lowest profile with the strongest holding force, ( I don't remember Tomasello being there or even assisting with the research.) Once I had the magnets, I designed the hinge assembly with the pusher spring so the paddles were pushed away from the nose of the car.( Not the car pushing the paddle down out of the way.)
I also e-mailed pictures of what I designed to Tomasello and he forwarded them to you.
The pictures of your ramps look like you did your usual job of re-engineering them to the n'th degree. I applaude you for that and hold nothing against you as it is for the betterment of Derby.
I'm sorry the ramps have become a sore topic for you. Please keep up everything you do for Derby and don't let the Knuckle heads get you down.

Ken,
You need to learn to give credit where credit is due. Merely suggesting ramps with magnets doesn't make it happen. Keep in mind I saw ramps with magnets long before you suggested them.
Have you done anything to our ramps other than level them out at a rally?

I will have to remember this episode in my future dealings with you.
