The GPSBDA is hosting a season long NASCAR POOL as a fundraiser for the organization. Not only will we be raising funds for the organization but we will be awarding prize money for you NASCAR junkies and wannabe's if you can win the "pole position" in the pool. There is a full set of rules attached with this e-mail and information on the website that will be hosting us and managing the points throughout the NASCAR season. But here is a quick overview:

The cost per team is $25.00 and you can enter as many teams as you like
Your NASCAR team will consist of 8 drivers - One driver from each of the groups listed in the "8 categories" attachment
Throughout the season you will be awarded points as your Drivers win points at each of the official NASCAR events.
If you get bored of a driver or he/she gets injured - you can trade up to a maximum of 2 times in the season as long as the driver you are dropping, is in the same group as the driver you have traded for.
Prize Money - we are forecasting $500.00 in prize money, and will award money for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at the end of the NASCAR Season. This may go up if we can attract more teams. As soon as all the teams are registered we will announce the final tally
The deadline for teams is Feb. 10th, 2008

You will be able to monitor your team all year on the site attached and the points will be updated after every NASCAR race. Make sure you invite all your friends to sign up a team as this is a great way to raise funds for the GPSBDA and have some fun.
