As the Best In The West Classic XII draws near, I have received calls
regarding two drivers that are looking for cars to race in this event.
One of these kids is a seven year old boy who would like to begin his
racing career at this years BITW. So if you have a stock car or know
of a car that this boy and his family could borrow for the race, please let
me know. It would be great if one of our derby families can offer themselves
to "adopt" this new family for the BITW and help them at the race. Please
contact me ASAP if you have a car and/or are willing to help this family.
The second driver is an experienced master car driver who is looking to
borrow a glass wrapped master car. If you have one that you would be
willing to loan out for the weekend, please contact me and I will put you
in touch with the racer and his family.
And finally, I would like to rectify a mistake that was made in the race
results from the Sunday Hood River stock car race. We had inverted
the results of the 7th and 8th place run-off. Finishing in 7th place was
Bradley Desrosiers, and in 8th place was Trevor Mattison. Below are
the revised race results.
